Water Shed

Poetry. Renee Gregorio holds a first degree black belt in Aikido and a master’s degree in creative writing from Antioch University, London. In WATER SHED she combines these two passions, presenting a series of poems connected to Aikido. When I first entered an Aikido dojo, I felt immense fear–fear of falling, fear of not being able to perform, fear of not being good enough, of looking silly. Now I see how each of those fears were, indeed, manifested, and how it really didn’t matter or affect my love of the art-from the introduction. Renee Gregorio has made New Mexico her home since 1985.
