A Halloween Card from your Secret Pal: An evening with Jarett Kobek

Jarett Kobek in conversation with Daven Hayes

Spend All Hallows Eve with Jarett Kobek in a meditation upon the dark side of California living. Using the lens of critical theory and deep literary analysis, Kobek places a dark mirror up to the face of the state known as being the home to the “summer of love.” Using the infamous Zodiac serial killer as the back drop, he presents a complex and original thesis bringing together criminology, literary association, and cultural references. Kobek not only paints a lucid picture of the mind of a maniac and the explosive theory of who he might have been, but also examines the medium that gave birth to such a terrible force.

The conversation centers upon the books

Motor Spirit:The Long Hunt for the Zodiac
and
How to Find the Zodiac

by Jarett Kobek

both published by We Heard You Like Books

Jarett Kobek is a Turkish-American writer living in California. He is the author of the books I Hate the Internet, The Future Won’t Be Long, Only Americans Burn in Hell, Do Every Thing Wrong!, and the novella ATTA. His books have been translated into ten languages.
